Caesar | the Planet of the Apes

"Apes... do not... want war. But will fight... If we must." The Planet of the Apes Franchise which was originally based on the French novel La Planète des singes by author Pierre Boulle, is considered the longest standing American Science-Fiction film series to date. Caesar the lead protagonist in the majority of the films, made his full debut in the 1972 film Conquest of The Planet of The Apes, portrayed by Roddy McDowall. The series was rebooted in 2011 which commenced with Rise of The Planet of The Apes, directed by Rupert Wyatt, with Andy Serkis cast as Caesar. Its Sequels which started with Dawn of The Planet of The Apes which released in 2014, followed by War for The Planet of The Apes which released in 2017, were directed and co-written (War) by filmmaker Matt Reeves. This video serves as a tribute to this brilliantly crafted and thought-provoking trilogy, and to its generational main character.
