Take a Look 'SMILE 2 PROMO TRAILER' concept for Paramount Pictures smile 2 trailer In his first feature film directing role, Parker Finn writes and directs Smile, an American psychological horror thriller set in the supernatural world of 2022. Based on Finn's 2020 short film Laura Hasn't Slept, it stars Sosie Bacon as a therapist who sees an odd patient suicide and then has a series of frightening and unsettling events that make her think she's seeing ghosts. Along with Rob Morgan, Kal Penn, Jessie T. Usher, Kyle Gallner, and Caitlin Stasey, who plays Laura Hasn't Slept again, are also featured. Finn's short film was adapted into a feature film, which was revealed in June 2020. The cast was announced in October 2021. That month saw the start of principal photography in New Jersey, which ran into November. After successful test screenings, distributor Paramount Pictures decided to release the movie in theatres instead of on the streaming site Paramount+. Smile had its debut on September 22, 2022, at Fantastic Fest, and was made available in the US on September 30. Despite having a $17 million budget, the movie made $217.4 million worldwide after earning mostly favourable reviews from critics.
