He praises the Father for hiding deep truths from the “wise and learned” and revealing them to the childlike. Why? Because the humble heart is open. The childlike don’t pretend to know it all—they trust, they wonder, and they receive. Today, many of us chase clarity through overthinking and control, forgetting that the greatest truths are often understood through surrender, not strategy. Jesus invites us to intimacy with the Father—not through our credentials, but through childlike faith.
