Dr Devi Prasad Shetty

Dr. Devi Shetty, founder and Chairman, Narayana Hrudalaya is an Indian philanthropist and a cardiac surgeon. He has leveraged economies of scale to provide affordable healthcare. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan, third highest civilian award in India for his contribution to the field of affordable healthcare. Dr. Devi Shetty spoke live to students at Ribandar campus through video conference about "Power of Purpose". In his engrossing presentation, Dr. Devi Shetty spoke about current problems faced by the common man when it comes to healthcare. He emphasized on the role of governance and infrastructure in Indian health care system. As per Dr Shetty, healthcare would be the prime driver of the global economy in the 21st century.
