I Gave My Rain Jacket to 2 Shivering Puppies... Then the Storm Got Worse 🌧️🐶

My priority was never myself—it was these two little puppies. A powerful rainstorm caught us in the forest before I could even set up camp. The puppies were getting soaked and starting to shiver, so I quickly built them a small shelter using my rain jacket, hoodie, and jacket to keep them as dry as possible. While they stayed protected, I became completely soaked and freezing. Once I knew they were safe, I rushed to pitch my hot tent and searched for enough dry wood to start a fire. The warmth from the wood stove finally dried us out, and the puppies could relax, eat, and warm up again. I built them a raised warm bed inside the tent so they could sleep comfortably through the rainy night. After feeding the puppies, I finally made myself some food and ended the day listening to the relaxing sound of heavy rain on the tent. These puppies are in temporary foster care through my mother's animal rescue organization. We care for rescued puppies until they find loving forever homes. Instead of spending their days in kennels, they stay with me in a house with a large yard, lots of love, and regular adventures in nature to help them grow into confident, happy dogs.
