D minor sweep picking
Sweep arpeggio riff I made up to practice my sweep picking. Its in the key of D minor, going through a D minor the first few measures, to B flat major then C major arpeggios and back to D minor and repeat. Sweep picking ain't as tough as it seems people! The first time you try all the way till the point where you've tried so many times it makes you almost want to quit playing all together (i've been there myself!) you will drive yourself crazy and it won't sound pretty until you really get it down. Its one of those things that will click all of the sudden one day and once you get past the toughest part which is getting your picking hand to sync with the speed of your fretting hand, its all fun from then on! Start off slow, but not too slow.. go as fast as you possibly can without missing a note focusing more on your picking hand first, then worry about the quick release of the fretting fingers after. Eventually it will become less and less sloppy naturally as fingers and brain litterally sync up and you'll surprise the crap out of yourself! You may get to a point where you think you'll never get it down.. but keep going, trust me!
