From Betrayal to Power: Joseph’s Journey from Slave to Leader" Joseph, betrayed by his brothers and sold into slavery, rises to power in Egypt through his God-given wisdom. Bible Reference: Genesis 37 Joseph, the favored son of Jacob, was a young man unlike his older brothers. He was the son of Jacob’s beloved wife, Rachel, and this special bond was no secret to anyone in the family. Jacob made his affection for Joseph clear by giving him a beautiful coat of many colors, a symbol of love and favor. The coat became a source of jealousy among his brothers, for they could not bear to see the favoritism their father showed toward him. Joseph, however, was oblivious to the growing resentment. He was a dreamer, often lost in his thoughts. One day, Joseph had a dream that he was eager to share with his brothers. "Listen to this dream I had," he said, as they gathered around him. "We were binding sheaves of grain in the field when suddenly my sheaf rose and stood upright, while your sheaves gathered around mine and bowed down to it." The brothers exchanged looks of disbelief and irritation. "Do you intend to reign over us? Will you actually rule us?" they sneered. Their hatred for Joseph deepened, for the idea that their younger brother could one day be their ruler filled them with anger. But Joseph did not stop there. Soon, he had another dream and once again shared it, this time with both his brothers and his father. "In this dream," he began, "the sun, moon, and eleven stars were bowing down to me." Even Jacob, who loved Joseph dearly, found this dream unsettling. "What is this dream you had? Will your mother, your brothers, and I actually come and bow down to you?" he asked. Despite his confusion, Jacob kept the matter in mind, pondering what these dreams could mean. For the brothers, however, this was the final straw. They were consumed with jealousy, their hearts burning with rage every time they saw Joseph in his coat of many colors. They no longer saw him as their brother but as a threat to their own standing in the family. Find out more in the video... #jesus #god #christian
