After the death of Batman, Gotham turns to a chaotic city with no rule or help from the GCPD, especially since the loss of Commissioner James Gordon. In order to save Gotham from becoming more of a hellish breeding ground for criminals, the Batman family of Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood and Robin will join forces to save the city them and the Dark Knight swore to keep safe. while also investigating what happened to Batman that led to his death. At the same time, the group come into conflict with the Court of Owls, a secret society who have controlled the city for years without their knowledge. GOTHAM KNIGHTS is an action role-playing game developed by WB Games Montréal and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. It was released on October 21, 2022, for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Inspired by the Batman: Gotham Knights comic series based on the DC Comics character Batman and his supporting cast, the game focuses on the characters Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin, and Red Hood as they attempt to restore justice to Gotham City during a period of decline in the immediate aftermath of Batman's death. While investigating Batman's disappearance, the heroes come into conflict with the Court of Owls, a secret society that is as old as Gotham itself, and their legion of brainwashed assassins called Talons, as well as the international war clan known as the League of Assassins, led by Batman's ex-lover and the deceased Ra's Al Ghul's daughter, Talia Al Ghul. GOTHAM KNIGHTS is set in Gotham City after the deaths of Bruce Wayne / Batman (Michael Antonakos) and Police Commissioner James Gordon, which has resulted in a rise of crime and police corruption. Players assume the role of four of Batman's former protégés—Dick Grayson / Nightwing (Christopher Sean), Barbara Gordon / Batgirl (America Young), Tim Drake / Robin (Sloane Morgan Siegel), and Jason Todd / Red Hood (Stephen Oyoung)—as they attempt to continue his legacy by protecting Gotham upon receiving a pre-recorded message from Batman. During the game, the heroes encounter several supervillains, including the Court of Owls, Mr. Freeze (Donald Chang), Harley Quinn (Kari Wahlgren), Clayface (Brian Keane), and Penguin (Elias Toufexis).
