Adding a texture to 3D text in After Effects

The 3d features in after effects are getting better but sadly you cant really add any textures yet, so here is a trick i like to use for other things which works pretty well on this one! This way we can add animated textures, gradients and anything else we want onto 3d extruded shapes or text within after effects. Now yes this is a bit limited and sometimes you might see the text "slipping" but in certain cases this could be a great solution.
