The events of this game start two months after Resident Evil Biohazard HD Remaster (the first game). At the beginning of the game you choose between two protagonists. First is Leon Kennedy. He is a rookie police officer making his way to Raccoon City. On his way there he runs into Claire Redfield at a gas station. Who is also heading into the city in search of her brother Chris Redfield, whom she has not heard from for a while. Chris is part of (S.T.A.R.S) which is stationed out of Raccoon Police Department (R.P.D.). They decide to head in together and find the city in chaos. The two get separated as they head to RPD. Their unique journey leads them to new found horrors and further exploration to the origins of the outbreak. Today, we are jumping into Resident Evil 2 Remastered. I am starting off as Claire Redfield. Sister to S.T.A.R.S member Chris Redfield. This is the first run of the game for Claire also known as Claire A. As there is Leon/Claire A and Leon/Claire B. I will also be doing a playthrough with Leon B (2nd run). It is a remake of Resident Evil 2 that released in 1998. Players control Rookie RPD officer Leon S. Kennedy and college student Claire Redfield as they try to find a way out of Raccoon City after its citizens are transformed into zombies by the T-Virus. Gameplay includes exploration, combat, and puzzles as they uncover the origin of the T-Virus outbreak. It improves from the Resident Evil 1 with unique storylines that overlap with each other based on the character chosen at the start. It released on January 25, 2019 for PlayStation 4, Windows, Xbox One, PS4 Pro, Xbox One X, and PC. Claire Redfield: College student and younger sister of Special Tactics and Rescue Service (S.T.A.R.S) member Chris Redfield. Grew up with her older brother Chris after their parents died. The two developed a close sibling bond. Specialized in lockpicking. Was taught hand-to-hand combat and how to handle firearms by her brother. Dr. William Birkin: Virologist who works for Umbrella Pharmaceuticals. Husband to Dr. Annette Birkin and Father to Sherry Birkin. Originally tested T-Virus Alpha and Beta on Jessica and Lisa Trevor. Later his testing on Lisa Trevor led to the finding of the G-Virus. Which became his life’s work. T-00 (Mr. X): Sent by Col. Vladimir with two missions. First eliminate survivors inside Raccoon Police Station. Second was to obtain the G-Virus sample from S.B. pendant and return it back to Umbrella. T-Virus (Tyrant Virus): Typically caused minor mutations in a human host, like Zombies and Tyrants. Unanimously infertile. Caused necrosis of the body and the brain as a side effect. Golgotha Virus (G-Virus): Rival of the T-Virus. Causes extreme genetic mutation to the point of no longer being recognized as Human. Highly fertile and asexually reproductive. Able to repair dead cells, even the dead. Can genetically alter a living being repeatedly and unpredictably. Ran counter to Umbrella’s plan to create a reliable military grade Bio Organic Weapon (B.O.W.) which could be controlled by Trainers. One of the greatest threats to the planet if an outbreak were to occur.
