WORSHIP THRU MUSIC AND PRAYER RENEWED WINESKIN Personal Renewal: Just as wineskins must be new or refreshed to hold new wine, individuals are called to renew their hearts and minds (Romans 12:2). Hear my prayer, Lord; listen to my cry for mercy." (Psalm 86:5-6) Pray For Mental And Emotional Empowerment “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7) Pray for Physical and Practical Empowerment “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (Isaiah 40:29) Pray for Relational and Ministry Empowerment “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8) Renewed Wineskins "Neither do people pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the skins will burst; the wine will run out, and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved." (Matthew 9:17) In ancient times, wineskins made of animal hide (usually goatskin) would become dry, brittle, and prone to cracking as they aged. To rejuvenate them, they could be soaked in oil typically olive oil to restore their flexibility and prevent them from breaking. This process made the old wineskin usable again for storing liquids. Fresh Revelation: • New wineskins can be made from old wineskins. • Wineskins can be renewed. Old Wineskins as Outdated Mindsets or Traditions: Old wineskins represent rigid, inflexible ways of thinking, old habits, or outdated religious traditions that cannot contain the "new wine" of fresh revelation, transformation, or spiritual growth. To receive new spiritual truths or experiences, individuals must let go of limiting beliefs and be willing to embrace change. New Wine as Spiritual Renewal or the Holy Spirit: The "new wine" symbolizes new life, spiritual growth, and the transformative power of the Holy Spirit. It requires a flexible, open heart and mind to fully embrace and contain this fresh experience. Pray for Fresh Anointing “I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being.” (Ephesians 3:16) 1. Pray for our City, Nation and Civic Leaders: “The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know. Pray especially for rulers and their governments to rule well so we can be quietly about our business of living simply, in humble contemplation. This is the way our Savior God wants us to live.” (1 Timothy 2:1-3) 2. Pray for our Church and Christian Community: “For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.” (Romans 12:4-5) 3. Pray that You Would Give Your Time, Money and Energy “And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.” (Hebrew 13:16)
