Readings 1) Numbers 21,4-9; 2) Psalm 78,1-2.34-38; 3) Philippians 2,6-11; 4) John 3,13-17. In 312, Emperor Constantine, the great, not yet converted to Christianity, had a war with Maxentius for the Roman Empire, he prayed to the Lord of Christians. A luminous cross was seen with the words 'In this sign you will conquer'. On Sept 14, 326, St. Helena found the true cross on which Jesus was crucified & feast was on May 3rd. In 614, Chosres II, the king of Persia, invade Syria & Palestine, carry away true cross too. In 629, Emperor Heraclius of Constantinople March to Persia to get Holy Cross. Being clothed with sackcloth & barefoot he brought it to Jerusalem on Sept 14. In Lord Jesus, the fullness of God was pleased to dwell bodily (Colossians 1,19; 2,9) in his incarnation. The Holy Cross is the symbol of salvation & divine compassion. The Blood of Jesus Christ is shed on the cross. It is the infinite sacrifice Jesus did for us. It is the rite of adoration & blessings. Let us honor the work of Christ that manifested thru cross, the true symbol of love, compassion & forgiveness. ************ Hello Friends, Welcome to my Channel! I am Fr.
