Ironman MK85 Helmet Shell on an Ender3v2 100% full size Part 3.5?
Just a quick Time Lapse video of the first piece of my Ironman MK85 armor This is going to be a full suit build so stay tuned for more. Now a day and a half, 1/3 roll of filament, and a lot of printer watching. Yes this is 100% full size from the stl below. My Y and Z are at 235 with a 4 on the raft just to give it a little extra strength. A little tip to help you breathe easier... well a little bit at least is that the domes bowl with the support ring around it may be stable enough to hold the full weight but how about a little insurance? When you get to about 20% put a weight inside the "bowl' just enough to add additional balance to the Helmet. I'm using a weighted beanbag so it doesn't shift, and will make the bases center of gravity right over the support structure so there will be no flex. Also as it's printed on the bald spot of the helmet, cleanup will be easy as can be. Honestly there wasn't much need for the thin supports on either side. They are not structural but I thought they may help with any side to side wobble near the end of the print. I have to take a minute to thank Frank over at Frankly Built here on YouTube for sharing his knowledge base with us builders out here! Give him a like and Subscribe and if your into cosplay, he is the new guru. If you look really close to my printer settings you'll see they are named Frank. / @franklybuilt It also goes without saying but also thank you to drumguy560 for your hard work. It is much appreciated! This is of course the full Helmet Shell from the MK85 design by by drumguy560 April 18, 2019 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:357... All of my social media!
