My name is Sal and Iām a full time firefighter and real estate agent. In todayās video I am going to discuss the Dallas Fort Worth real estate market for May 2022. ā¶ļø In this video I will discuss about the following topics: ⢠New houses in the market ⢠Increasing interest rates ⢠How mortgage rates may be ⢠House prices analysis In the greater Fort Worth region, demand for houses continues to rise. In April 2022, the median price of a home sold in Fort Worth was $350,000, up 20% from the previous year, as a result of increased interest and mortgage rates as well as inflation. High demand from potential homebuyers is pushing up housing prices, as is the market's persistently low supply. As of now, higher interest rates appear to have had little effect on pricing, and May is generally a good month for price rises. In the current market, sellers who have held off on putting their properties up for sale are in for a pleasant surprise. How much more expensive are mortgages today than they were only a few months ago, and how soon will rising interest rates affect demand? Inflation has a negative impact on affordability because of increased mortgage rates and prices. Despite a decrease in DFW's inventory in April, this was the second month in a row that it had increased. Closed sales decreased by 3.5 percent while the number of active listings increased by 3.9 percent. Spring has been busy so far, but we'll have to keep an eye on how the economy affects things in the coming months. When it comes to metropolitan regions in the U.S., it is one of the most well-known. Because of Dallas' quick growth and increasing fame, the market remains a viable option for new businesses. In spite of a severe scarcity of houses, particularly in the lower price ranges, the housing market will continue to be robust. A shortage of land, supplies, and workers is putting a strain on the construction industry, which is scrambling to keep up with demand.
