Paper vs. Mesh Drywall Tape | pros and cons, for finishing & mudding
Paper tape has been used to finish drywall for decades and is very useful. Mesh tape seems to be a newer option better suited for patches and repairs. It’s also easier for a beginner since it doesn’t need mud underneath. But both have pros and cons.
