
Storm Tracker Forecast - Heavy Rain And Strong Wind Friday Morning
Northern California has had some light rain shower activity Thursday, but a more intense system will bring heavy rain and windy weather to our area late tonight and early Friday. Please drive carefully Friday morning! Another Pacific storm is approaching our area tonight and we can expect stormy weather before the sun rises Friday morning. Flash Flood Watches have been issued for the Zogg Fire, Dixie Fire and North Complex burn scar areas through Friday morning. Exercise caution and pay attention to conditions if you live near these areas. Tonight will be windy and rainy with most of the intense rain and wind gone by noon Friday. Scattered rain showers will still be possible Friday afternoon, with quieter weather Friday night. This weekend will bring more intense weather to northern California with scattered showers and mountain snow Saturday, but heavier valley rain and mountain snow along with stronger wind on Sunday. A Flood Watch has been issued for most of northern California from Saturday evening through Monday afternoon. Particular attention needs to once again be paid to recent burn scar areas, where heavy rain won't have a good chance to soak into the ground. Rain will turn to showers from Tuesday to Wednesday, with fewer clouds and a warming trend with drier weather by next Thursday. Valley lows will range from the upper 40s to the upper 50s, while valley highs will fall from the 60s to the 50s by this weekend warming to near 70.
