Do I hold on to my own agenda or am I open to God's message and changing my plans? Today’s Reflection on the Readings Dear friends, The significance of Joseph in God's plan is highlighted in today's Gospel. His responsibility is to safeguard Mary and Jesus while also acting in accordance with God's will. The massacre of the innocents, the first conflict between religion and politics in Christian history, is also described in today's Gospel. The thought of these children, the "Holy Innocents," being murdered is heartbreaking. Yes, dear friends, it all happened as a result of Herod's error in believing that Jesus the King posed a threat to his throne. As a result, the conflict between Church and State started. Dear Friends, we still witness Christian persecution in this day and age. The same flawed thinking that Herod employed is to blame for everything. That's a terrible thing to do to someone else, another religion, another state, or another country. Thus, we encounter significant issues of our own and as a result, there is war and a loss of peace, love, and harmony. Let's all pray for the Holy Spirit to fill us with wisdom so that we can recognise the difference between right and wrong and act accordingly, Dear Family of Mother Mary's Protection. So let's maintain a peaceful and healthy environment. Let's remember and pray for our suffering brothers and sisters, dear friends. Prayer Lord, you were poor and defenceless when you entered this world. You participated in their needs and surrounded yourself with the weak and the needy. Please, Lord, awaken each of us to the suffering of the defenceless. Make us take an active role in ensuring their safety, always keeping in mind that you and I are both responsible for the actions of "the least of these little ones."
