Four characters from different eras (Gabriel, Simon, and Trevor Belmont, and Alucard) must shed light on the epic history of the Belmont clan. Simon and Trevor, descendants of Gabriel Belmont, fight to discover their shocking fate. Trevor is a knight of the Brotherhood of Light, seeking revenge for the murder of his mother. The killer is Trevor's father, who has returned after years of exile to occupy a mysterious castle. The man who was once Gabriel Belmont has become the powerful vampire Dracula. Dracula declared war on the Brotherhood. Thus, father and son became enemies. Trevor wants to kill Dracula for the shame he brought upon the Belmont name. Driven by similar goals, the characters intersect in the game.
