While Elon will be a big improvement over the way that Twitter is currently run, there is still the risk that Musk bans his personal enemies or forces KYC on all Twitter users. A better solution is to move towards a completely decentralized online chat program with no human censors or control. Sphinx Chat and BlueSky are two possibilities here.
