When he suggested improvements to Enzo Ferrari, Ferrari arrogantly dismissed him, saying, "You’re a tractor driver, what do you know about sports cars?" Determined to prove Ferrari wrong, Lamborghini decided to create his own luxury sports car. In 1963, he founded Automobili Lamborghini, and by 1964, the Lamborghini 350 GT was born.
