Our Let Freedom Ring Challenge continues! Another customer, Thomas, will be getting a FREE SoundTraxx decoder of his choosing. For reliability, I chose to install a SoundTraxx TSU-21PNEM8 Steam-2 P.N. 884808 decoder along with a CurrentKeeper instead of a new Paragon 3. I used the existing connector between the tender and loco for this project. I did add a single wire to use for the headlight LED. In doing so, the smoke generator was abandoned.
