LSM Musical Advent Calendar, Day 4
Composed in 1917, Rebecca Clarke’s Morpheus was first performed in New York City with the composer, an accomplished violist, playing the solo part to great acclaim. In summer 2021, violist Thomas Bandar and pianist Christina Giuca Krause presented this work at one of LSM’s Faculty Artist Recitals.
