📿 Pray the Rosary • October 20, 2025 • Joyful Mysteries

Monday – 29th Week in Ordinary Time • Optional Memorial of Saint Paul of the Cross, Priest On this Monday, we pray the Joyful Mysteries, contemplating the beauty of the Incarnation and the humble beginnings of our Redeemer. Today, the Church honors Saint Paul of the Cross (1694–1775), founder of the Congregation of the Passion of Jesus Christ (the Passionists). Deeply devoted to the suffering of Christ, he taught that the Passion is the greatest proof of God’s love and the most powerful means for conversion. His life was marked by prayer, preaching, and compassion for sinners. May his witness help us find joy and strength in uniting our daily crosses to Christ’s. 📖 Gospel (Luke 12:13–21) Someone in the crowd said to Jesus, “Teacher, tell my brother to share the inheritance with me.” He replied to him, “Friend, who appointed Me as your judge and arbitrator?” Then He said to the crowd, “Take care to guard against all greed, for though one may be rich, one’s life does not consist of possessions.” Then He told them a parable: “There was a rich man whose land produced a bountiful harvest. He asked himself, ‘What shall I do, for I do not have space to store my harvest?’ And he said, ‘This is what I shall do: I shall tear down my barns and build larger ones. There I shall store all my grain and other goods and I shall say to myself, ‘Now as for you, you have so many good things stored up for many years, rest, eat, drink, be merry!’ But God said to him, ‘You fool, this night your life will be demanded of you; and the things you have prepared, to whom will they belong?’ Thus will it be for the one who stores up treasure for himself but is not rich in what matters to God.” 🙏 Reflection: Jesus reminds us that true wealth is not found in possessions but in a heart rich in love, mercy, and faith. Saint Paul of the Cross lived this truth by embracing poverty and finding joy in Christ Crucified. The Joyful Mysteries invite us to rediscover God’s presence in simplicity — in Mary’s “yes,” in the hidden life of Nazareth, and in the peace of surrender to God’s will. 🙏 If today’s Rosary helped you find joy in simplicity and renewal in God’s love, please like, share, and leave your prayer intentions or simply write “Amen” in the comments below.
