MATHEW LUKE Cruciformity: living in conformity to Jesus, the crucified Messiah, through the power of the Spirit. 1. Cruciform Living: Freedom from the Power of Sin (2:17, 18) • Christian life is not about following abstract moral principles but about participating in a spiritual reality where Christ lives in and through us. • We are called to engage people in their cultural, social, and spiritual contexts while staying true to the foundational truths of the gospel. • Living Cruciformity in Daily Life – We are called to reflect the shape of the cross in our daily lives. 2. Cruciform Call: Carrying the Cross for the Nation’s Redemption • The cruciform call demands us to adopt a crucified life where the old self is put to death, and Christ lives through us. • Personal sacrifices, commitment, and financial cost. 3. Cruciform Power: Resurrection Living • It is the union of the vine and the branch (John 15:1–6). • Cruciformity in the cause of Christ never ends with the curse of death; it always leads to the glorious dawn of the resurrection from the dead. • A gospel-rooted life inevitably leads to a crucified life.
