The Ugly Duckling The ugly duckling saw some beautiful swans swimming. He didn't want to be with other ducks ever again. He thought he'd rather he killed by the swans. So he cried out, "Kill me!" and bent his head down. Then he saw his image in the clear water. He wasn't an ugly duckling anymore. He was a beautiful swan. Some children saw him and shouted, "Look at the beautiful swan."
