The levels of inflammation in your body are elevated when you eat meat, cheese, and highly processed foods. Not to say that if you do not eat these foods, you will not get inflammation at all. Short termed inflammation caused by injury is normal but an inflammation that lasts for years is not. 2. Your taste buds may change. Zinc can also affect your sense of taste and smell. It’s found in beef and meat, and if you’re not eating these foods, you may not be getting as much zinc as you need. For some, they lose their taste for meat after having gone without it. You might not be getting the required amount of zinc if you are not eating meat or fish since this nutrient is found in oysters, meat, and crab. 3. Your iron levels go down. Iron is a crucial nutrient for your diet as it functions in red blood cells. Red meat is rich in iron and avoiding it may lead to decreased oxygen-carrying capacity. 4. You may feel hungrier. Another potential side effect of cutting red meat, a significant source of fat, is that it may make you feel hungry and less energized. As such, it’s crucial to plan and ensure that you’re eating tons of high-quality fats and proteins from other sources such as eggs, fish, and avocados. 5. Your gut will thank you. A vegetarian diet may enhance your digestive tract health, prevent constipation, and regulate bowel movements. 6. Your cholesterol levels decrease. If your cholesterol levels are high, then your doctor is likely gonna tell you to avoid red meat. Again, it all comes back to saturated fat, the main contributor to producing bad cholesterol in the bloodstream. Red meat and dairy products tend to have high amounts of saturated fat, leading to high cholesterol. High blood cholesterol level is the leading cause of heart disease and strokes. 7. Your body absorbs calcium better. Red meat is an excellent source of iron. The thing is, this nutrient is not well absorbed in the presence of calcium. It’s like they exist to cancel each other out. And so while your iron may be low if you cut red meat, it may also result in better calcium absorption. 8. You lose the chance of getting some nutrients. As you’ve already learned by now, red meat isn’t all that bad. Another perk of eating red meat is that it allows you to get certain nutrients that are usually hard to get. 9. You will give your microbiome a makeover Microbiome is a term used to collectively refer to the trillions of microorganisms living in human bodies. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe to Body Hub!: https://goo.gl/nJ8d6r #hashtags ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ℹ️ Medical Disclaimer: https://pastebin.com/s0cHYHvf ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
