My team: Shadow Aerodactyl: Bite / Frustration Shadow Nidoking: Poison Jab / Frustration Shadow Houndoom: Fire Fang / Frustration Arlo's team: Shadow Beldum: Take Down / Struggle Shadow Gardevoir: Charge Beam / Shadow Ball Shadow Scizor: Bullet Punch / Iron Head This challenge was not very hard, it was actually only my second attempt, but what kept me from doing it quickly was finding the correct Arlo. I took a screenshot every time I found a leader, and these are the statisics: 118 total leaders: 37 Arlo (5 from balloons) (31.36%), 48 Sierra (3 from balloons) (40.68%), 33 Cliff (3 from balloons) (27.97%). I got really unlucky with Arlo's Pokemon, as you could have probably seen from the uploads that I've been popping out, and what I wanted was a Charge Beam Gardevoir (I will further explain later). Most Arlos had Infernape or Aggron, and the Gardevoir ones all had Confusion or Charm. This attempt was actually my first Charge Beam Gardevoir. (Also at one point I got 5 Sierras in a row, so that was insane.) I planned this challenge when I was looking at Arlo's Pokemon, I realized that using Scizor as his last might be a fun Team GO Rocket Challenge. I also could have probably done this challenge with a Salamence, but I haven't looked into Ice-type Shadow attackers yet, since I saw the Salamence was way rarer than Scizor. I decided on Houndoom as my Scizor killer because it had the hardest hitting Fire-type fast move, Fire Fang, with 4 DPT (Damage Per Turn), then I looked into the second Pokemon. Gardevoir was the most common so I started with that. Confusion and Charm both hit way too hard from an overpowered Shadow Pokemon, so I decided on Charge Beam, since it does the least damage, and Ground-types were immune to it. I decided if I didn't find any good Ground-types I'd move on to Dragon Tail Aggron or Rock Smash Infernape, as some types are immune to those too. When looking at Ground-type Shadow Pokemon, I immediately decided on Nidoking, as it was part Poison-type, and Gardevoir was weak to that, being Fairy-type. Luckily, Nidoking has Poison Jab, a Poison-type Fast Move which Nidoking has STAB to. For the Pokemon to deal with the Beldum, I had two Pokemon in mind. Fire Fang (or Bite) Mawile, or Bite Aerodactyl. I chose Aerodactyl because (I assumed) it took less Stardust to power up, since I was low on it. For the challenge part, it wasn't actually too difficult. I faced a similar Arlo the second day after powering up the Pokemon (which you can see in the Shadow Mewtwo video), but I failed against it. The difference between that and this Arlo was Scizor's Fast Move. That Scizor had Fury Cutter instead of Bullet Punch, and could not get to a Charge Move before Houndoom fainted. However, this is where another problem arises. I didn't have any shields left. If it had to farm down my Nidoking, I would've needed to spend two shields on it, shielding both the Shadow Balls, or else Nidoking would have fainted. I actually faced the same problem against this Bullet Punch Scizor, but I quickly found a new solution. And that solution was to save Aerodactyl. By leading with Aerodactyl and switching it out, Scizor could farm down Aerodactyl for energy, having a Charged Move for Houndoom before it died. In the original Arlo, I leaded with Nidoking and switched into Aerodactyl, therefore I didn't have enough time to switch out the Aerodactyl before Charge Beam killed it. But by leading Aerodactyl and switching it out when the Beldum gets killed, I could use it to farm down the Gardevoir, saving a shield and getting energy on the Scizor.
