Extensive Damage after Storms Roll Through

WASHINGTON TWP. -- Strong storms that rolled through Wednesday morning left extensive damage to the Washington Township/Centerville border line. A tree went through an apartment at the Wood Grove Place off Jamestown Circle in Washington Township. The fire department and housing authorities with Montgomery County responded to the scene to check the structure. "It just all a sudden came up real quick," said Bruce Sweigart. Homes across the area had extensive tree damage as well. A home that sits on the corner of Sheehan Road near Kroger was hit by wind damage. At least five trees uprooted outside Joey Anderson's house. "Uh, I was in awe a little bit because obviously these aren't small trees," he said. Wind gusts were estimated at 75 miles per hour during the storm.
