Navy Bean Soup

Hello Friends, This is such a great meal to use up the left over have you had over the Holidays. Easy dinner with very little effort. Recipe 1 Bag of Dry Navy Beans 1 Ham bone 6 Carrots 4 Celery 1 Onion 2 1/2 Tbsp Chicken Bouillon 1 Tsp Black Pepper Quick method for Cooking Dry Beans 8 Cups Hot water Add bag of Beans to hot water and bring to boil Boil for 2 min, Then cover pot and remove from heat. Allow beans to soak for 1 hour. Wash and rinse beans after 1 hour Add 8 cups water to pot and return to stove. Add Ham bone to the water and season with chicken bouillon and pepper Once water has come to a boil return the beans to the pot. Cover with lid and bring back to boil. Peel and chop veggies Sauté veggies until onion is translucent Add veggies to pot and continue to cook until beans and veggies are tender. Remove ham bone and take all the meat off the bone.
