Gospel of the day according to Saint Luke 9:51-56 Commentary on today's Gospel by Brother Vincent: Jesus reminds us that we can freely refuse to accept love, and that only time can soften hearts, and that only through responsible freedom can we accept the message of the fullness of the Gospel. https://www.dominicos.org/predicacion... Reading from the Holy Gospel according to Saint Luke 9:51-56: When the days drew near for him to be taken up, Jesus resolved to go to Jerusalem. And he sent messengers ahead of him. On the way, they entered a village of the Samaritans to make preparations. But they did not receive him, because his appearance was that of one traveling toward Jerusalem. When his disciples James and John saw this, they asked him, "Lord, do you want us to summon fire from heaven to destroy them?" He turned and rebuked them. They went on their way to another village.
