Welcome to my Let's Play of Silent Hill 2. This is the Remake for the PS5. I am beyond excited that I finally get to experience this game. For some reason, I never got around to playing the original back in 2001. So, in essence, this is a completely new game to me. Even better is that I get to play it with updated, current-gen graphics and during the month of Halloween. It just doesn’t get any better than that. So, lend me your energy and your courage and come watch me shite myself, as I traverse the foggy streets of Silent Hill in search of my wife Mary. At the time, the only survival horror games I knew of, and experienced, was Alone in the Dark and Resident Evil. I used to buy a lot of video game magazines, back in those days, and I remember there being a insane amount of hype surrounding the game. Apart from the first one, the Resident Evil games weren’t particularly scary. That all changed when I turned on Silent Hill. Within the first 20 minutes, I remember saying ‘this is way scarier than Resident Evil.’ The rest, as they say, is history and I’ve been a fan ever since. Oddly enough, though, the only game in the series I hadn’t played was Silent Hill 2 and many people regard it as one of best survival horror games ever made. So for me to finally get to experience it, with current gen graphics, makes me so happy. I feel like I’ve come full circle.
