Today marked a historic and joy-filled moment for Franciscan University as our community gathered for the Solemn Blessing of Christ the King Chapel, our spiritual home since 1969, now beautifully renovated and expanded. ✨ We are deeply grateful to Bishop Edward M. Lohse for celebrating this sacred Mass, and to our concelebrants Father Dave Pivonka, TOR, Father Joseph Lehman, TOR, Father Jonathan St. Andre, TOR, and our entire Franciscan Friars, TOR, community. With hearts full of gratitude, we also thank our Franciscan family and generous donors whose prayers and support made this day possible. Through the anointing of the new altar, the deposition of relics of St. Francis and seven virgin martyrs, and the blessing of the chapel, we entrust this holy space to Christ the King for generations to come
