Romanian Deadlift Tutorial
In this video, Dr. Bacon demos how to properly perform the Romanian deadlift. Tips: 1) Have a slight anterior tilt to your hips (slight back arch) and push your hips back to descend. 2) Keep knees stable facing forward and pushed BACK throughout the movement. If you start bending at the knee (or knees go too far forward) it takes force off the hamstrings. 3) Maintain a proud chest (chest up) to keep weight off the lower back and keep tension on hamstrings. 4) Use the eccentric as a main focus in RDL. 5) Go sufficiently deep to stretch hamstrings painfully. ---if you lose this, you are taking the weight off the hamstrings and may have gone too deep.
