Christmas is coming and we’re getting ready. There’s lots to prepare for. There are food plans and travel plans and gathering plans and Christmas gift-giving plans and… What about preparations for the true gift of Christmas? What about opening our hearts to God in Christ through the Spirit being reborn in us this Christmas? How do we give and serve and care this Christmas as the hands, feet and heart of the Christ child? How will this child grow in us beginning this Christmas and into 2023? Come to us anew, O God, in this hour of worship! Lighting of the fourth Advent Candle – the candle of Love *Hymn: Hope is a star (vs.4) No. 119 Love is a flame that burns in our heart. Jesus has come and will never depart. When God is a child there’s joy in our song. The last shall be first and the weak shall be strong, And none shall be afraid.
