In the Year 2292, the Institute which had collapse almost half a decade ago, had sent its remnant members out west to seek better salvation, going to the fabled West Tec Facility (which was bombed out into a giant radioactive crater with enough radiation to malfunction West German robots into scrap metal) to regroup and evolve. However, they bump into the most dangerous factions to mess with in the Mojave including Caesar's Legion and the NCR. Some dying some triumphing, nevertheless, the humble prospector already has their hands on the Institutes best laser rifle out there.
