📿 Pray the Rosary • August 23, 2025 • Joyful Mysteries
20th Week in Ordinary Time – Saturday • Optional Memorial of Saint Rose of Lima, Virgin Today we join in the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary pondering the Annunciation, Visitation, Nativity, Presentation, and Finding of Jesus in the Temple. May Saint Rose of Lima, whose purity and devotion radiated Christ’s love in her hidden life, accompany our prayer and inspire us to cultivate interior holiness and love for the Lord. Gospel Reading (Matthew 23:1–12) Jesus said to the crowds and to His disciples: “The scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses’ seat; so do whatever they teach you but do not follow their works, for they say and do not do... But the greatest among you shall be your servant. Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted. Therefore, when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites; they love to stand and pray in the synagogues... But when you pray, go into your inner room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret...” This Gospel calls us to humility, sincere devotion, and interior prayer echoing the hidden sanctity of Saint Rose of Lima.
