5 things I wish I knew earlier on my fitness journey 🫠

5 things I wish I knew earlier on my fitness journey 🫠 1️⃣🚨Lifting weights will make women look bulky. Reality: Lifting weights can actually help women build lean muscle and achieve a more toned and defined physique🏋️‍♀️. Women typically have lower levels of testosterone than men, which makes it difficult to bulk up like a bodybuilder. 2️⃣🚨: Cardio is the only way to lose weight. Reality: While cardio can be an effective way to burn calories and lose weight, strength training can also be beneficial for weight loss. Strength training builds muscle, which can increase your metabolism and help you burn more calories throughout the day. 3️⃣🚨Crunches and sit-ups are the best way to get a flat stomach. Reality: While core exercises like crunches and sit-ups can help strengthen your abdominal muscles, they are not the most effective way to get a flat stomach. A combination of healthy eating, regular exercise, and full-body strength training can help you achieve a more toned and defined midsection. 4️⃣🚨You have to work out every day to see results. Reality: While consistency is important for achieving fitness goals, rest and recovery are also essential. Overtraining can lead to injury and burnout, so it’s important to listen to your body and give yourself time to rest and recover between workouts. 5️⃣🚨Spot reduction is possible. Reality: Unfortunately, you can’t target fat loss in a specific area of your body by doing exercises that target that area. When you lose weight, you lose it from all over your body, not just one specific area. A combination of strength training, cardio, and a healthy diet can help you lose weight and tone up all over.
