Join the story of how Ellie managed to save Joel's life after the incident at the University of Colorado and the story of how Ellie became infected before meeting Joel and Tess. Along the way we are introduced to Ellie's best friend Riley who had gone missing for over a month from Ellie's life, only to reveal she had left to go and join the Fireflies, led by Ellie's mother's friend Marlene. In this chapter we are introduced to Riley who has become a Firefly but also risked her life to see Ellie for one last time. We also take Ellie on a journey through a shopping mall in order to look for medical supplies in order to save Joel's life after falling on to a large pole that pierced his abdomen.
