Memorial of Saint Teresa of Jesus, Virgin and Doctor of the Church

Today we remember Saint Teresa of Jesus also known as Teresa of Ávila. She was a Carmelite nun and mystic from Avila, Spain. Due to her many writings, work as a reformer and as a theologian, she was declared a Doctor of the Church.
