Worship Service for December 25th, 2022, Christmas Day

Hello and welcome to worship here at Grace Lutheran Church! This service we are celebrating Christmas Day, the day of our Saviour's birth, for the year of 2022! But before we start, we'd like to recognise and acknowledge that physical building in which we worship and pray sits on the the traditional, ancestral, and unceded lands and territories of the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ (Musqueam) and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) speaking peoples. We encourage you to acknowledge the lands that you are on as well, as we together journey toward truth and reconciliation. The bulletin will have the order and words of worship, the page numbers for the liturgical music out of the Tree of Life booklet, the hymn numbers out of the Evangelical Lutheran Worship hymnal, and the full sermon manuscript. All the words and responses that you need to know will also be on your screen in the bold face type. You may follow along in whatever way makes the most sense for you. For an enhanced worship experience at home, you may have a lit candle in your space from the start of the service and extinguish it with the altar candles at the end after the sending hymn. You may also participate in communion by having something small to eat and drink nearby, ready to consume at the appropriate time as instructed during worship.
