How to Connect Dual Monitors with Different Ports (HDMI & DisplayPort)

To help you set up a dual-monitor system, I’ll walk through my setup as an example. Modern dedicated GPUs typically have a mix of HDMI and DisplayPort options, allowing multiple displays to connect. In my setup, I have two monitors, both with HDMI ports. My GPU, however, has one HDMI port and one DisplayPort. To connect both monitors, I used a standard HDMI cable for the HDMI port on my PC and a DisplayPort-to-HDMI cable for the DisplayPort on my PC. If you’ve already configured your displays to act as extensions in your display settings, this setup should work seamlessly, allowing you to use both screens as an extended workspace.
