Christmas Eve Candlelight Services

Christmas Eve Candlelight Services

North Scottsdale United Methodist Church (NSUMC) warmly invites the community to celebrate the joy and wonder of Christmas Eve with three traditional worship services on Wednesday, December 24th, at 3:00 PM, 5:00 PM, and 7:00 PM. Each service offers meaningful ways to pause amid the busyness of the season and enter into the story of Christmas which includes the birth of the Christ child, the promise of peace, and the gift of God’s love. ~ Mid-Afternoon Service – 3:00 PM Begin your Christmas Eve with a mid-afternoon service filled with joy, wonder, and music for all ages. Listen to Christmas songs from our Quartet, hear scripture readings that share the story of Christ’s birth, and enjoy beautiful musical performances from soloists. This early service is perfect for families who want to worship together while leaving time for dinner and holiday traditions. ~ Evening Candlelight Services – 5:00 PM & 7:00 PM Step into the warmth and tradition of Christmas at our candlelight services. At both the 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM services, the combined choirs of North Scottsdale UMC and Ascension Lutheran Church will lead the congregation in traditional carols, scripture, and communion. A chamber orchestra, handbells, organ, and piano will fill the sanctuary with glorious music, lifting hearts into the spirit of the season. All services conclude with the passing of the light and the congregation singing the beloved hymn Silent Night—a moving symbol of Christ’s light shining into the world. All children will receive a gift bag with the Christmas book “All is Bright.” ~ A Place for All No matter which time you choose, you will be welcomed into a space filled with music, prayer, carols, candlelight, a children’s moment and community. These services are free and open to all—families with young children, longtime members, first-time visitors, and friends from across Scottsdale and beyond. Come as you are and create lasting memories as you celebrate the greatest gift of all… the love of God revealed through the birth of Jesus Christ. Join us this Christmas Eve at North Scottsdale UMC and experience the joy, peace, hope, and love of the season! nsumc.com
