Rocket Water Heater
Started out as a oil fired hot water heater, now converted to a rocket stove. Removed oil fired burner, cut out hole to fit six inch stove pipe, plumbed into in floor heating, hot water out top side outlet, cold in bottom side outlet. Water pump is 12 volt-10 watt pump found on Ebay for 20 bucks, the pump is circulating through 1 run of 250 feet of 1/2" pex tubing in the floor with no trouble. This stove uses approx 2 pieces of ash wood in a 8 hour day, with a diameter of 8 inches by 12 inches long, chopped into kindling size to fit six inch stove pipe at the feeder. The pipe going into the heater stops inside heater wall at 2 inches so that flames hit the bottom of tank, and not the center of the chimney, more heat is gained that way.The stove is highly efficient, the only problem with rockets is the need to feed them regularly to maintain the hot burn. Sorry for sideways video.
