How to active Inoperative PAN | PAN Aadhaar card link after June 2023 | How to link pan with Aadhar The last date to link one's Permanent Account Number (PAN) with Aadhaar number was June 30, 2023. The government has not extended this deadline this time, though it had done it many times earlier. If an individual has still not linked their PAN with Aadhaar, their PAN will become inoperative from today (July 1, 2023) If the PAN becomes inoperative, you will not be able to avail certain services where you have to mandatorily quote the number. Furthermore, if you have not filed your income tax return (ITR) yet, you can do so only after linking your PAN with Aadhaar How to make PAN operative again If your PAN has become inoperative, the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) in a notification dated March 28, 2023, clarified what an individual can do to make their PAN operative again. "The PAN can be made operative again in 30 days, upon intimation of Aadhaar to the prescribed authority after payment of fee of Rs.1,000," it said.
