Almost painfully autobiographical, John Denver originally called this song, "Babe, I Hate to Go". It was his producer, Milton Okun who persuaded him to change it. It was recorded by Peter, Paul & Mary and it gave them their biggest ever hit, peaking at #2 in the UK in 1970.
