ReWind of "Just a Closer Walk With Thee"- Pastor Branden Walker (10-12-25)

On Sunday, October 12, 2025, The Mount celebrated our first Young Adult Day! Pastor Branden Walker of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas, came to help us kick off this inaugural event by preaching, “Just a Closer Walk with Thee!” In his sermon, he challenged both young and old that walking closer with Jesus will ALWAYS cost you something. Whether it is our convenience, our comfort, or even our connections. The preacher said, “We want intimacy without interruptions, glory without grind, miracles without maturity”, but he reminded us that's not how faith works! Sometimes God uses the most uncomfortable circumstances to shape us. Who can testify that the storm brought you closer to Him? REAL TALK: Many of us pray for closeness with God but aren't prepared for what it takes to get there. God uses unlikely conditions to draw us near.
