German - The Past Perfect Tense Explained
In this video, I explain the past perfect tense in German. I show its structure and how it’s formed, later covering concepts that are used identically in the present perfect. Then, I present numerous examples with auxiliary verbs (Haben/Sein) and conclude with other useful concepts that apply to the tense and explain the big difference between the present and past perfects. Feel free to correct any mistakes I could have made while explaining, and feel free to share this video with many people. I very much appreciate the support. Additional note at 4:34: When using conjunctions (bevor, nachdem) in the past perfect, a comma is needed to complete a sentence At 6:22, the English translation should be “She still hadn’t seen a 3D movie” About me: I’m Alex, and I’m a student at UNLV.
