29th Sunday in Ordinary Time - World Mission Sunday

The readings for today are: First Reading - Isaiah 45:1,4-6; Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 95(96):1,3-5,7-10; Second Reading - 1 Thessalonians 1:1-5; Gospel - Matthew 22:15-21 Today we mark World Mission Sunday, a day to pray and give thanks for all missions throughout the world. We are reminded of a tradition that goes all the way back to the earliest days of the Church, and our need to respond to the call to share Jesus’ message of hope and love with charity and generosity. St Isidore’s is still subject to the guidelines for the return of public Mass under COVID-19 restrictions. As such, there is no recitation of the Gloria or Creed.
