Overcoming Fear

Overcoming Fear

Here are 3 biblical principles on overcoming fear... 1. God Has Not Given Us a Spirit of Fear “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” — 2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV) Fear does not come from God. Instead, He gives us strength, love, and clear thinking—tools to face every challenge with confidence in Him. 2. Perfect Love Casts Out Fear “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” — 1 John 4:18 (KJV) When we understand how deeply God loves us, fear loses its grip. His perfect love gives us security and peace, even in uncertain times. 3. The Lord Is Our Protector and Strength “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” — Psalm 27:1 (KJV) With God as our protector and source of strength, we have no reason to fear. His presence brings courage and assurance in every situation. When we fully trust in God's love, power, and presence, fear is replaced with faith. Through His Word, we are reminded that we are never alone, never without help, and never without hope.
