Transfiguration Sunday 2025 Sermon

Sermon Text: Hebrews 3:3-4 God is the builder of everything, including the heavens and earth and all that is in them. We may presume that the building of Hope Lutheran Church is our work, built by human hands, but God first built the congregation of Hope Lutheran Church. We are the household of God, built together by the Spirit to receive the blessings of Christ. God hewed us out of hearts of stone to be holy habitations of Himself. He then fit us together to be the Church. Sometimes it feels like there are breaks amongst us due to disagreements. However, God built us on a foundation of love and forgiveness. When these prevail in Christ, then we are unified as the Church.
